Danette Cantu graduated from St. Anthony Catholic School in 1984 and Columbus High School in 1988. She spent her early teaching career in private education in Michigan while her husband, Ray, was in medical school. She also taught at St. Pius X Catholic School in Corpus Christi TX before moving back home to Columbus. Her job as a mom took precedence for a few years until Mr. O’Leary asked her to join the staff at St. Anthony twelve years ago. She teaches ELA to 6th-8th grades and Religion to 8th grade.

Mrs. Cantu has been married to Ray for 33 years and has four children and four grandchildren. She loves spending time with her family, traveling, baking, reading, and relaxing at home.
