Tracy (Paricio) Theut has returned to St. Anthony Catholic School to teach Spanish to 3rd-8th grades. She previously taught Science and Spanish at SAS for 15 years. Mrs. Theut started her teaching career at Rice High School teaching Physical Science and Biology. After the birth of her second child, she planned on staying home, but when an opening at Columbus High School opened up, she picked up her chalk and went back to work for seven more years teaching Physical Science, Biology, History, and Special Ed.

Mrs. Theut is a proud member of the Texas A&M Class of 1991, WHOOP! Her Spanish background comes from 3 years of high school Spanish and a lifetime with two immigrants from Spain. Her mother was born in Barcelona and her father in the small village of Vialba Alta. She has traveled to Spain numerous times to visit her family and friends and just last year she and her husband completed a Camino de Santiago.

 

Mrs. Theut has been married to Deacon Rusty (SAS grad) for 33 years. They reside in Columbus where they raised five children who all attended St. Anthony Catholic School. Son Jordi (A&M Class of ’16) and wife Landry (A&M Class of ’18) live in Columbus with their son, Charlie. Son Clayton (A&M Class ’17) lives in Houston and works as a Civil Engineer. Son Andy lives in Columbus and works at Theut Glass with brother Jordi. Nephew Brandon, who has been part of the family since he was 16, also works in the family glass business. Daughter Isabel recently finished her volleyball career at UH and graduated with her MBA. She is currently an assistant coach at The University of North Alabama. Daughter Gabi is a senior in college and playing volleyball in Kansas where she is majoring in Biology.
